Points to Remember when booking a stand. Normally the reason someone would exibit at a Fair would be to promote their service or to sell extra product. You may find it hard to believe but we have seen exibitors ignore potential customers, turning away from them, reading a book, bringing a friend to chat to, spending their day in the lobby drinking coffee or out smoking. Please Be Prepared Be Professional Be Friendly Smile Begin with the END in Mind Know what you want to achieve from the show before you start. ( be realistic ) you wont make a million your first day. If you want to , fill a workshop, build your customer base start a meditation group, whatever, you must come prepared, Would you hand out info all day if you are handing it out to THE WRONG PEOPLE. Be positive dont moan about the weather or the job losses.The potential customer did not come to the fair to hear more doom and gloom they came to escape from it. Be friendly say hello Smile & Talk to everybody who comes to your stand, its great to give out info on what you are doing, but its even better if you find out what they are interested in, get some contact details from your potential customers so you can keep them informed of upcoming events and promotions. They will view you as a new friend and will look forward to hearing from you again in the future. To do this all you need is a note book ask them to fill in Name Address Mobile Email address, web address. Set yourself a goal for each show on how many (new friends) contact details you wish to get. Be proactive you will enjoy your day much more and achieve all your Goals. Note; if you promise to forward additional details to someone do it be professional.
